
Young Yoga - 10-16 years old
Service Description
An introduction to yoga for 10–16-year-olds focusing on strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Yoga teaches everyone to have fun and move their bodies in a non-competitive environment – our sessions will be both energising and relaxing. This class is suitable for boys and girls aged 10 - 16. No experience is necessary, and no degree of flexibility is required. The regular practice of yoga for tweens and teens will result in their minds having a sharper sense of concentration and focus. Yoga is important for developing brains, whilst also being a great way to manage worries and anxiety. We will move, balance, breathe and relax. Yoga can benefit many areas of life – improving physical strength and flexibility, helping with exam stress, life stress, worry, anxiety and sleep. Yoga teaches us to be present and in touch with our natural self, which for 10–16-year-olds is a great way to develop a sense of self-esteem and self-confidence. Everyone will receive individual attention during class to allow them to develop at their own pace. Every Tuesday 5pm – 5.45pm The 5-week course began Tuesday 14th January at 5pm. £9 per session - £45 for the course. Remaining dates are: Tuesday 21st January Tuesday 28th January Tuesday 4th February Tuesday 11th February TRY A CLASS! You can try your first class for a drop-in cost of £9. After your trial class, if you want to continue, you can book the remainder of the course with a discount. The class will be taught by Beth – a fully trained and experienced yoga teacher who currently teaches children and teenage classes in and around Solihull.
